Episode 2, last rendezvous, starts with a rendezvous of Gennosuke and Oboro 
in the woods. Oboro is worried for her grandmother because she was missing for a long time and she is scared that something might happen at the ninja techniques demonstration that might stop the truce between the Iga and the Kouga. The result of this would be that she will not be able to see Gennosuke again and she sais that she prefers to die than never see Gennosuke again. Gennosuke on the other hand calms her down by telling her that as long as Hattori Hanzo is at the demonstration nothing will happen and that it is in their hands to keep the peace between the Iga and the Kouga. They both make plans for the future and they can't wait for their grandparents to get back so they can set a date for their wedding. They believe that their marriage will unite the two tribes forever without knowing that the war has already begun!
At another place Udono Jousuke, one of the 10 Kouga ninja spots Ogen's hawk 
that was carrying the scroll and he manages to get the scroll by throwing a knife at the hawk. Before he read the scroll an Iga ninja, Azuki Rousai gets in the scene that saw what Udono did and he tells him to hand him over the scroll that fell from Ogen's hawk. Udono then finds the chance to challenge him for a fight that the winner will get the scroll. Because by that time they both believed that the truce never broke they say that they will fight just for the sport. At the end Udono manages to get away with the scroll.
Kazamachi the Kouga ninja that was carrying Danjou's scroll is getting closer to Kouga Manjidani (Kouga Village). Believing that Danjou would have killed Ogen by now and that Danjou would have in his possetion Ogen's scroll he thought that the Kouga will have an easy victory over the Iga before the Iga will get to know that the war has begun. The other ninjas back in Kouga Manjidani are getting worried about the fate of Danjou and Kazamachi and Jimushi Juubei offers to go find them.
Gennosuke and Oboro are still walking together in the woods when a group of four Iga appears. It's Akeginu, Nenki, Hotarubi and Jingorou and they tell Oboro that they were worried about 
her and they decided to form a small search group to search for her. They also tell her that her grandmother is still missing. While this discussion takes place Udono Jousuke appears chased by Azuki Rousai. Azuki Rousai tells everyone to stop him because he carries an Iga scroll and Gennosuke orders him to handle the scroll to the Iga. When the Iga get find out what is written in the
scroll (all Iga but Oboro) they pretend that is good news and they tell to Gennosuke that finally peace between the Iga and the Kouga has been achieved. Seeing that both Gennosuke's and Udono Jousuke names are written in the scroll they invite the two Kouga to their village to celebrate having in their mind to kill them. Udono Jousuke appears to disagree at the beginning but Akeginu finds a way to convince him!
While Oboro and Akeginu accompany Gennosuke and Udono Jousuke to the village the other Iga rush back to the village to inform Tenzen, a bloodthirsty powerful Iga warrior. At this point the Iga seem to have the upper hand.
